"Looking for Philly" by Italian artist Carlo Trevisan — a surrealist oil painting on canvas depicting a colonial-era figure in a tricorn hat standing on a sandy shore, gazing at a floating Liberty Bell with a distant city skyline beyond a vivid turquoise sea. The whimsical, Magritte-inspired composition blends Philadelphia history with dreamlike wanderlust. Original contemporary surrealist Philadelphia Liberty Bell pop art painting on canvas available at Morton Contemporary gallery.

Carlo Trevisan is a poet and surrealist painter who creates work which he describes as 'clean, minimalist, and simple'. The artist works tightly and intentionally, depicting isolated objects and characters against smooth balanced backgrounds. His oil paintings are reminiscent of a pleasant dream: they are familiar, warm, non-sensical yet perfectly convincing.
