"Time is a theory everyone adopts for social/psychological purposes. Simply put, time is our way of measuring life and its complex movements here on earth. How we view our alotted time determines the physical, spiritual, and mental health of the individual. In our mind, (key), time can be a burden, a weight to bear. Or it can be used to elevate us into greater human beings, when we value time wisely."

James Green (b. 1968) was born and raised in the Richard Allen Projects of Philadelphia, growing up amid the heroin and crack cocaine epidemics that shaped his early environment. His earliest memory of artistic recognition dates back to the third grade. In 2020, Green was accepted into the Mural Arts Program at SCI-Phoenix, where he has since been actively engaged in a wide range of art projects. Green's work addresses themes of mass incarceration, reflecting his commitment to exploring and confronting the systemic challenges faced by incarcerated individuals.
