Keith Andrews: “It is my hope that the painting LeAnn will help bring awareness to the traumatic event so many women face when bringing a child alone into the world. It really hurt me going to prison as a teenager and leaving behind a pregnant, teenage mother, who is all alone – a child herself – carrying my child. I hope this painting brings the viewer into this young woman’s pain and worry, but also sheds light on her resolve and inner strength – no matter how difficult the circumstances (trial and tribulations).”
